Underground secrets of Belgrade

Are you ready to discover a hidden city beneath Belgrade? Caves, tunnels, lagoons, enclosed rivers, bunkers and numerous buildings hide the biggest secrets of Belgrade..

This tour is all about the hidden objects and cruel history. Dose the visiting of the Roman well, a military bunker from Tito's period, Austrian gunpowderstorehouse with Roman sarcophagi, sacrificial altars and tombstones sound interesting to you?

But that’s not all! You will finish tour in wine cellar from the 19th century where domestic wine will be your award for this 2.5-3h walking tour.

Second option:

Downtown Walking Tour:

You will get interesting info about Belgrade from people like you, young travelers. Professional guides will tell you secrets and funny stories about Belgrade. You will see all attractions and places of interest in a funny and interesting way of sightseeing: The Republic Square, the National theater and the National museum, Bohemian Quarter (Skadarlija), the oldest part of Belgrade with Ottoman heritage, the oldest residential house and museum of Serbian language, the only mosque in the city, Zoo, Kalemegdan park, Belgrade fortress, „Victor“ the most famous symbol of Belgrade, the confluence of the Sava and the Danube rivers, Saborna church, cafe „?“ and Knez Mihailova street.

*Underground secrets of Belgrade is preferable tour as many places from Downtown Walking Tour participants will see while looking around when going to planned activities.

  • Fun block

(2 options, one to be chosen by participants)

Fun block 1:

Nikola Tesla Museum + Escape room

Nikola Tesla Museum:

We know museums might not sound like the most interesting thing, but believe us that this one you have to visit:

Dive into the magical world of Nikola Tesla - see Tesla’s development as an inventor and as a person through mix of modern and authentic technologies from the time of Nikola Tesla during 45 minute interactive tour. Meet the outstanding heights he reached as an inventor and his very intensive approach to life. Specially trained guides will present to you the magnificent working models of Tesla’s machines, his various personal items, and his visions of the future.

Escape rooms:

In teams of 6 you will be locked in a themed room for 60 minutes and must try to work out how to escape before the time runs out. This involves exploring the room, looking for hints and puzzles, gathering various items and solving the obstacles one by one which eventually leads you to the exit.

It requires no special skills or knowledge. All you need is your perception, creativity and logic. And of course, teamwork is the key! Our games are conducted in English. In case you need some help during the game, the Game Master will always be there to give you some hints for the next step. Also, if for whatever reason you do need to exit before the time runs out, there is a panic button which opens the door for you instantly, so no worries!

Escape rooms available:

  1. Hangover (not a coincidence)
  2. Coma (RC hopes you want see another coma room during AA)
  3. Tito’s room
  4. Tesla’s Genius Mind
  5. Agent 00X

FunBlock 2: Rakia Tasting

What wine is for the French, beer for British, or vodka for Russians, Rakia is for Serbs. Authentic Serbian product, rakia, is a fruit brandy that may be even 55-60% strong! It is made of local fruits, first of all from plum, apple, raspberry, grape, apricot, pear… It has special taste when tried with cheese, smoked meet and similar specialties. You will visit 3 bars and try 3 shots of rakia with special Serbian delights. It is a perfect way to meet an authentic Serbian brand and feel the Bohemian city’s spirit accompanied by an interesting story of a local guide and barmen.

Alumni Dinner @ Skadarlija

There is a saying that if you haven’t visited Skadarlija you haven’t truly experienced Belgrade. Skadarlija is a vintage street in the capital of Serbia. It is located in the heart of Belgrade, the old, romantic and bohemian, known in history and legend, and it lives more than a century in many songs, interesting stories and anecdotes as well as in many literary and journalistic writings.

Different traditional dishes will be served with domestic drinks.

  • Alumni meeting

Will take place in hotel.

  • Volunteers

At least 2 volunteers from HC/RC will be with Alumni during their activities, for guidance and urgency matters.
